How To Test Products Safely
First and foremost:
If you’ve had allergic reactions to nail products in the past and don’t know exactly what chemicals are to blame, then the best thing you can do is talk to your GP and organize to get a professional allergy test. This will eliminate all the guess work, and any potential for further allergic reactions.
TEST ON ONE NAIL ONLY.
This is extremely important, especially if you’ve had allergic reactions before. It will be much easier to manage an allergic reaction on one nail than it will be on all 10.
Instructions:
Prep your nail by pushing back the cuticle, cleaning away any dead skin and by filing your nail.
Using a lint free wipe, cleanse the nail with a 50/50 isopropyl alcohol and acetone mix (providing you aren’t allergic) to remove the oils and dead skin.
Apply all coats in order, ensuring you avoid all skin contact. If you get any on your skin clean it away immediately with a cotton tip and isopropyl alcohol.
Gel Polish
Builder Gel In A Bottle (BIAB)
Once complete wash your hands with warm soapy water and dry.
If you experience any allergic reaction symptoms like you have before - itching, swelling, blistering etc. remove the product immediately, and seek medical attention if necessary.
How to Remove:
File off the top layer of Top Coat. Place a piece of cotton wool (the size of your nail) soaked with acetone onto your nail, then secure it to your finger with aluminium foil. Let it soak for 5 minutes. The Gel Polish will lift off and you can scrape the remaining away with cuticle stick.
Wash your hands with warm soapy water and dry.
